This site is hosted by Vercel Inc. To deliver a page, the server necessarily processes technical request data such as your IP address, the requested path, a timestamp, the response status and your browser or device information. Approximate location may be derived from the IP address.

This is used only to serve the site, keep it available, troubleshoot errors and protect against abuse. Legal basis: legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). How long logs are kept depends on the hosting provider’s settings, not on a period I set.

To see which pages are read, this site uses Vercel Web Analytics, run by Vercel Inc. It records the page you view (without anything after a “?” in the address), the referring site, your browser, operating system and device type, and the country derived from your IP address.

It sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device. Visits are told apart by a hash of the request that is discarded after a day, so you can’t be recognised across days or other sites, and the IP address itself isn’t stored. Legal basis: legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) in understanding how the site is used.

This site sets no cookies.

If you change the colour or light/dark theme in the palette menu, that choice is saved in your browser’s local storage (keys seed and theme) so it’s remembered next time. It never leaves your device and isn’t used to identify you.

If you use Ask AI, your chats are saved there too (ask-chats), along with a random ID (ask-device) that is created when you ask your first question. The chats never leave your device; the ID is sent with each question only so the daily limit counts per browser (see Ask AI below).

You can clear all of this at any time through your browser settings. Because it’s only stored for features you actively use, no consent banner is needed (§ 165(3) TKG 2021).

All fonts (Google Sans Flex, Material Symbols), icons and images are served from this site’s own domain. Loading a page does not contact Google or any other font or image service.

If you use the contact form, I receive what you type (your name, email address and message) together with your IP address and the time, as an email sent through my email provider, Brevo (Sendinblue SAS, France). The IP address is only used to stop the form being abused. Nothing is stored on this site; the message exists only as that email.

Email links open your own mail app and nothing is sent until you send it. Whether you use the form or write to me, I use your message only to reply and delete it once it’s no longer needed, unless I’m legally required to keep it. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR for pre-contractual enquiries, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Links to Google Play, the Apple App Store, GitHub, LinkedIn and project websites are plain links, not embedded widgets. Once you follow one, that provider’s own privacy terms apply.

If you use Ask AI in the search or on the Ask AI page, your question is sent to the Gemini API (Google) together with this site’s public content, and the answer is shown to you. In the chat, your last few questions and answers go along too, so follow-ups make sense. Neither questions nor answers are stored on this site’s servers. Your chats are saved only in your own browser (local storage), so you can reopen them from the history; you can delete them there at any time.

To keep the service fair and free, each browser can ask up to 24 questions a day, each network (IP address, or for IPv6 its /64 block) up to 72, and the whole site has a daily cap. For this, counters are kept under keyed hashes of the browser’s random ID and of the network address, never the ID or address itself, and deleted at the end of the day (UTC). The counters are stored in a database run by Upstash, which only ever sees these hashes and counts. Your IP address is also held in memory for a few minutes to slow down rapid-fire requests. Please don’t include personal information in questions.

When you send a question, Vercel BotID runs a short, invisible check in your browser so that automated scripts can’t use up the questions. It sets no cookies; the signals it collects about your browser are processed by Vercel Inc. only to tell people from bots.

Google processes the question under its Gemini API terms; for users in the EEA, these say it isn’t used to improve Google’s products, though Google may keep it for a limited time to detect abuse. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, answering the question you asked.

Technical data is processed by the hosting provider (Vercel Inc.), contact form messages by Brevo, AI questions by Google, the daily Ask AI counters by Upstash, and emails by the mail providers involved. The hosting provider and Upstash may process data outside Austria or the EEA under their own privacy terms and the transfer safeguards they rely on (such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses).

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

• access the personal data I hold about you
• have it corrected or erased
• restrict or object to its processing
• data portability
• withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
