Privacy Policy

This privacy policy applies to apps and services developed by Abd Alrahman El-Hamaoui (referred to as "I", "me", or "the developer"), including Quran App, QuickScanQR, Email AI, and this portfolio website. I take your privacy seriously and aim to be transparent about what data is collected, why, and how it is handled.

Quran App — No personal data is collected. Reading stats, bookmarks, and preferences are stored locally on your device and optionally synced via your own cloud account. No data is sent to third-party servers beyond what Firebase requires for sync functionality.

QuickScanQR — All scan history and generated codes are stored exclusively on your device. No data is transmitted to any external server. The app does not require an account and does not collect any personal information.

Email AI — To provide AI email generation, the app connects to your Gmail account via OAuth. Email content processed by the AI feature is sent to the backend solely to generate a response and is not stored or shared. Authentication tokens are stored securely on-device.

This website — Basic analytics (page views, device type) may be collected via Vercel Analytics to help improve the site. No personally identifiable information is stored.

Some apps use third-party services that may collect data under their own privacy policies:

• Firebase (Google) — cloud sync in Quran App
• Google Play Billing — in-app purchases where applicable
• Gmail API (Google) — email access in Email AI
• Vercel Analytics — website usage in this portfolio

I do not sell, trade, or share your personal data with any third parties beyond what is strictly required to operate these services.

Data stored locally on your device is retained until you uninstall the app or clear its data. Cloud-synced data (where applicable) can be deleted at any time by removing the app's access from your Google account settings. I do not retain any user data on my own servers beyond temporary processing.

My apps are not directed at children under 13. I do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data, please contact me and I will delete it promptly.

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data held about you
• Request correction or deletion of your data
• Withdraw consent for data processing at any time
• Lodge a complaint with a data protection authority

Since most apps store data locally on your device, you can exercise most of these rights directly by clearing app data or uninstalling the app.

I may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. Continued use of my apps after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
